My mommy's love was the first thing I've ever known

Her love hugged me, it fed me, it brought me into this life

As she dried my tears, happiness was shown

If fears were butter, my mommy's the knife

Her love made me believe that love exists

Because there's nothing else that can explain her

My mommy doesn't sleep, my mommy never sits

Nothing for her needs until the things I wanted were

Who am I to deserve this, do I deserve this

The answer's no, but she gives anyways

Was I the perfect child: not even on my best day

But even on my worst day, my mommy loved me

When others said no, my mommy made a way

When I knew no better, her love made me see

And I know I can never repay this love

If I tried for all my life it could not compare

To this love sent me by our God far above

I'll never deserve her but I will try to care

For most of my life, it was like 2 vs the rest

And for all my life, I'll know: My Mommy's the best
